What “verified” means

A hotel's page is verified when we read its details from the hotel's own website, its brand's page for that property, or a document linked from them.

An address appears only when we read it from those pages.

Where facts come from

Facts come from the hotel's own website, its brand's page for that property, or a document linked from them. We never copy figures from other directories, booking platforms or Wikipedia.

Facts such as capacities and room counts are restated in our own words, and the hotel's document is linked rather than copied.

Where a hotel does not publish a field, or its own pages disagree with each other, the field stays blank. We do not estimate, average or fill gaps from elsewhere.

What a price is a price of

A price is labeled per guest, package total, venue fee, food-and-drink minimum or room rental, because those are not the same thing. Only a package total is ever compared against a wedding budget.

A price is published only with its unit. These are the units we use:

per person
a price for each guest. Multiply by your guest count, and ask what it includes.
package
one price for a defined bundle. It is the only kind we compare against a wedding budget.
venue fee
a charge for the space.
food & beverage minimum
the least the hotel asks you to spend on food and drink. It is a floor, not a price for anything.
room rental
a charge to rent a room.
per table of N
a price for one table of that many guests, as the hotel sets it. We never divide it into a price per person.

Currencies and budgets

Prices stay in the currency the hotel quotes (so far USD, MYR and IDR). We don't convert them, because a converted figure would be our estimate, not the hotel's price.

Dates

Each published price shows the page it came from and the date we checked it. Hotel prices change, so you can see how fresh a number is before you rely on it.

The date is when we last read the hotel's page. We don't yet re-check every hotel on a fixed schedule, so look at the date before you rely on a price.

Photos

We do not publish a hotel's photographs without its permission. Where we have no photo we may use, we show none rather than borrow one.

When a hotel pays us

Hotels are listed free. A hotel on a paid profile pays Hotel Weddings for each qualified inquiry we deliver to it. Paying doesn't change what we publish about a hotel or where it appears.

How Hotel Weddings makes money

The price index

We plan to publish a hotel wedding price index once a year, starting in January 2027. It will use only verified prices and clearly labeled benchmarks, each with its unit, and where too few hotels publish a price it will say so.

Corrections

Anyone can report an error, and a hotel does not need to claim its profile or pay us first. We aim to correct factual errors within five working days.
