How we test
Every kind of page on the site is checked automatically against WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA, at a desktop width and a phone width, every time the site changes.
Some things an automated check can't see. Our tests check that the phone menu says whether it is open. Form errors are marked so that screen readers announce them as they appear.
What we know we haven't done yet
- Automated checks find some accessibility problems, not all of them. We have not yet tested the whole site with a screen reader from start to finish.
- Some hotels publish their wedding details in PDF brochures we link to. Those documents are the hotel's, and may not be accessible. Where we publish a fact from one, it is in the page itself as text.
- The preview images a page shows when it is shared on social media contain text. The same text is on the page.
