What Hotel Weddings does

Hotel pages, market by market

One page per hotel, with its wedding spaces, capacities, packages and published starting price, each with the page it came from and the date we checked it. They open market by market, starting with destination markets in Asia.

Wedding cost guides

Guides that explain what hotel wedding packages include, what the per-guest price leaves out and where service charges and minimum spends come in. The aim is that you can read any hotel's quote and know what you are comparing.

Inquiries to one hotel, as pages open

When a hotel's page opens, an inquiry sent from it goes to that hotel and nobody else. We do not sell your details to other venues, and there is no mailing list.

Room-block planning

Tell us your guest count and dates and we work out how many rooms to ask for, and how many free rooms to ask for with them. You know what to ask each hotel before you write to it.

Our principles

Every price carries its source and date

Each price we publish links to the hotel page or document it came from and says when we checked it.

Independent of the hotels we list

We are not any hotel's booking agent and take no commission on a booking, and a hotel cannot pay to change the prices or facts we publish about it.

Hotels only

We list hotels and resorts and nothing else: no barns, estates or standalone halls.

Hotels pay only for results, with no contract

A hotel pays nothing upfront, $75 for each qualified inquiry we deliver, and never more than $2,400 a year. There is no annual commitment, and a hotel can stop at any time.

We show what the headline price leaves out

A hotel's headline wedding price often excludes service charge and tax, a food-and-drink minimum or the cost of extra guests. Our cost guides name those items and explain each one, so two quotes can be compared on the same terms.

Who uses Hotel Weddings

Who is behind Hotel Weddings

Hotel Weddings is an independent company. It is not a wedding planner, a venue or a booking site. It does not book or sell rooms, packages or wedding services, and it never holds a couple's money.

It earns one way: a hotel on a paid profile pays when we pass it an inquiry from a couple, at the same published rate for every hotel ($75, capped at $2,400 a year). It takes no commission on a booking and no margin on a package, so what you spend with the hotel makes no difference to us.

How we check what we publish

We use the hotel's own sources

Facts come from the hotel's own website, its brand's page for that property, or a document linked from them. We never copy figures from other directories, booking platforms or Wikipedia.

Every price says what it is a price of

A price is labeled per guest, package total, venue fee, food-and-drink minimum or room rental, because those are not the same thing. Only a package total is ever compared against a wedding budget.

Every figure is dated

Each published price shows the page it came from and the date we checked it. Hotel prices change, so you can see how fresh a number is before you rely on it.

Blank rather than wrong

Where a hotel does not publish a field, or its own pages disagree with each other, the field stays blank. We do not estimate, average or fill gaps from elsewhere.

No borrowed photos

We do not publish a hotel's photographs without its permission. Where we have no photo we may use, we show none rather than borrow one.

Corrections within five working days

Anyone can report an error, and a hotel does not need to claim its profile or pay us first. We aim to correct factual errors within five working days.

How Hotel Weddings works

For couples

Reading the site is free and needs no account. Hotel pages, and the inquiries sent from them, open market by market; until then you contact a hotel yourself.

For hotels

Hotel pages open market by market. When a hotel's page opens, the hotel can claim it, and each claim is checked by a person before it is approved.

Contact

Email is the only channel for now, for questions and corrections alike. There is no phone line or chat. hello@hotelweddings.com

An inquiry is qualified when the couple can be contacted, gives a wedding date within 24 months and 30 or more guests, sent it to that hotel, has not already asked that hotel in the last 90 days, and it is not spam or a non-wedding request. It counts whether or not the couple books or the hotel replies.

Frequently asked questions

Is Hotel Weddings free for couples?

Yes. Reading the site is free, and so is sending an inquiry once hotel pages open. Couples are never charged.

How does Hotel Weddings make money?

A hotel on a paid profile pays $75 for each qualified inquiry and $150 for each room-block request we deliver, capped at $2,400 a year. It pays nothing upfront and can stop at any time. Every hotel can be listed free.

Where do the prices come from?

From each hotel's own wedding pages and documents, or its brand's page for that property. Every price links to its source and shows the date we checked it. We never copy prices from other directories.

Why will some hotels show no price?

Because the hotel does not publish one. Its page will say so rather than estimate, since a wrong price for a named hotel is worse than none.

Is Hotel Weddings affiliated with the hotels it lists?

No. When hotel pages open, an unclaimed page will say it is an independent guide, and a page a hotel has claimed will say the hotel manages the profile.

Will my inquiry go to other venues?

No. When a hotel's page opens, an inquiry sent from it goes to that one hotel and is never passed to another venue.
